Ira Gebler is a Partner and the Finance Practice Leader in IBM’s Global Business Services U.S. Public Sector practice. He is also the IBM Army Client Account Leader.
He has over 27 years of system implementation and financial management experience with Chief Financial Officers (CFO) Act implementation, financial and contract auditing, and internal controls and process improvement. Mr. Gebler is IBM’s Program Executive responsible for the Army’s GFEBS program, he implemented the Army National Guard real property system of record, PRIDEweb, led the Army’s DPAS implementation and is responsible for the Army’s HQAES program.
Mr. Gebler develops federal financial statements; accounting and acquisition policy and procedures; and strategic plans. He is a subject matter expert for property, plant, and equipment (PP&E) transactions, and performs financial analysis and business process improvement. Prior to working at IBM, Mr. Gebler was an auditor with the Department of Defense, Office of the Inspector General.
He holds a BS with a concentration in Accounting from The Ohio State University, a MBA from Marymount University, and a MS in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces/Eisenhower School.
